Civil Aircraft Certification Department of Aerospace Technical Center of Brazilian Ministry of Defense (CTA - IFI) has completed the certification of the Be-103 multipurpose light amphibian. The Be-103 has been issued the Brazilian type certificate # EA-2005T15 which makes it possible to start selling the aircraft at the Brazilian market. Negotiations for the delivery of the amphibians to Brazil have been carried on in parallel with obtaining the Brazilian airworthiness certificate. Upon issuance of the certificate, the Brazilian customer intends to start purchasing the Be-103s. In general, the possibility of selling several tens of the Russian amphibians to Brazil is considered. The Be-103 amphibian is designed in compliance with Russian Aviation Regulations AP-23, and has a normal type certificate. Brazil is the second foreign country to have certified the aircraft. In 2003, this amphibian was certified under the USA Federal Aviation Administration regulations. Certification of the Be-103 in China and Canada is currently under way, and negotiations for delivery of the amphibians to other foreign customers are being conducted.
