Dear sirs ! On 17-th November 2004 Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee granted "Beriev Aircraft Company" JSC with Supplement to the Type Certificate of the Be-103 amphibious airplane for propeller reverse system. This Supplement to Type Certificate allow implement outstanding performance of MTV-12 reverse pitch propellers, developed by "MT-Propeller GmbH". Implementation of the reverse propellers will improve considerably the aircraft landing and taxiing operating performance on the ground as well as definitely improve amphibian capabilities and maneuverability on water (especially in docks, near piers, wharfs and other restricted water areas). Such a feature is the most desirable for the customers who operate the amphibians on water, and reverse actuation should increase airplane sales. The FAA Type Certificate was given to the Be-103 in July of 2003. Serial production of this aircraft is organized at "KNAAPO" JSC (Komsomolsk-on-Amur), famous for production the "SUKHOI" fighters.
