Dear sirs ! From September 30 to October 5, 2003 in Malaysia at the Langkavi Island the International Marine and Aerospace Exhibition "LIMA-2003" took place where BERIEV Aircraft Company participated. BERIEV, jointly with Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Production Association, exhibited its Be-103 light amphibious aircraft. The Be-103 amphibian developed at BERIEV Aircraft Company and manufactured serially at Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aviation Production Association can be used for passenger and cargo transportation, forest patrolling, sea borders and economic area patrolling, on-the-spot ecological monitoring situation of water areas, airial photography, render urgent medical aid, delivery of small-size cargo. The Be-103 has already got the type certificate of normal category according to American regulations FAR-23 issued by Federal Aviation Administration of the USA (FAA). This type certificate gives the opportunity for the Be-103 to enter the market of North America and South-East Asia. During the exhibition the Be-103 amphibian was demonstrated at the static display of the airport and performed demo flights from ground and from water. During the opening of the marine part of the exhibition, the Be-103 successfully demonstrated its possibilities to the Prime Minister of Malaysia Muhammed Mahathir. His Majesty the King of Malaysia Diram Jvanku Saed Sirakhudin examined the Russian amphibian too. During the exhibition "LIMA-2003", subject negotiations were held with Head of Malaysian Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations, with Secretary General of Malaysian Ministry of Defense, with Head of department for fire fighting "BOMBA" under the Malaysian Government, as well as with delegations of other countries of the region took place.
