After the meeting of the presidium of Gossovet on the subject of "State of Russian Water Service", which took place on September 3 on board the motor ship "Kazan" in Rostov-on-Don, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin visited the city of Taganrog. After laying flowers on the monument of the founder of Taganrog - Peter the Great, the President visited a number of enterprises of the city: TAGAZ, TAVIA and BERIEV Aircraft Company. During his visit to BERIEV Aircraft Company, the President accompanied by leaders of the enterprises saw the A-40 multipurpose amphibious aircraft "Albatross", the Be-200 multipurpose amphibious aircraft and the Be-103 light amphibious aircraft developed at the company. The Director General of BERIEV Aircraft Company V.V. Boev told the President about the state of affairs at the company. After that the President listened to the reports about the works on development and certification of the Be-200 and the Be-103 amphibious aircraft. Particularly, the possibility of use of the Be-200 in government airline "Russia" were discussed with President. Besides, V. Putin familiarized was with prospects of improving the A-40 - the workld's biggest jet amphibious aircraft. The First Deputy Director General V.A. Kobzev, Deputies Director General A.V. Yavkin, N.A. Lavro, V.F. Ponomarev took part in showing the aircraft to the President. Having listened attentively to the reporters and familiarized minutely with the Be-103 amphibious aircraft, Vladimir Putin was satisfied with examination and advise to promote persistently Be-200 to the world aviation market and mentioned that the Prime Minister of Italy Silvio Berluskony was delighted to sea the demonstration of the serial Be-200ES amphibious aircraft at the Sardinia Island. For his part, the President promised to give support in solving problems of development of new aicraft. Then, after seeing aircraft of TAVIA, Vladimir Putin left from the company airfield "Taganrog Yujniy" for Sochy. |
