Visit of French delegation to BERIEV Aircraft Company since May 12 till May 16.

Dear Sirs!

May 12-16, 2003 representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs headed by Commander of aviabase at Mariniane Michel Rosere visited BERIEV Aircraft Company. The aim of the visit of French pilots and aviation specialists was the participation in flights and familirization with pilots training program for the Be-200 multipurpose amphibious aircraft.

French pilots in common with test-pilots of BERIEV Aircraft Company performed a number of flights at the Be-200 amphibian from ground as well as from water having been coached water dropping and water scooping as well as flight with the imitation of one engine failure. They appreciated stability, controllability and thrust-to-weight ratio of the Be-200 amphibian at its true value.

Basic fire fighting variant of the Be-200 has already been certified according to Russian standards of airworthiness and it's got the type certificate, presented by Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Commitee August 15, 2001.

Today certification tests of the Be-200ChS are going on at BERIEV Aircraft Company. The Be-200ChS is planned to get type certificate this year too.

Specialists of Eropean Concern EADS performed marketing research, economical analysis and estimation of certification's possibility abroad of the Be-200 project of BERIEV Aircraft Company

French specialists have already got the possibility to familiarize with the Be-200. In May 2002 Taganrog amphibian visited the Marseille-Mariniane airdrome in the scope of agreements completed earlier by Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations and French Ministry of Internal Affairs. At the instance of France the Be-200 demonstrated water scooping in the gliding mood, water droppimg on imagenary fire, loading-unloading of regular munition and equipement of sub-units of French State Defence.
