On 25 May, 2009 "EI" AEW Aircraft No. 1 successfully passed the tests with MSA system and performed its ferry flight from Israel to India (Mumbai). The aircraft was delivered to the End User.
This enables to close one of the most significant milestones of the contract and incites the Indian side to review the possibility of ordering additional aircraft.
"EI" AEW Aircraft was produced for the foreign customer under a contract awarded by the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Rosoboronexport".
Currently Beriev Aircraft Company continues working under this contract.
