On the 23-24th of January, 2008 the Airborne Forces Commander Lieutenant General V.Е. Evtukhovich visited the premises of JSC "Beriev Aircraft Company" and JSC "TAVIA". Within this visit the Airborne Forces Commander observed the aircraft engineering, designed at Beriev Aircraft Company and got acquainted with the production cycle of the assault means and experimental production facilities of the company. In the experimental design bureau Lieutenant General V.Е. Evtukhovich witnessed the operation of the integrated computer simulation system (virtual flight simulator). Apart from this he familiarized himself with the aircraft engineering process. A working conference dedicated to the application of scientific capabilities of Beriev Aircraft Company and JSC "TAVIA" aimed to the development of prospective assault means for the Airborne Forces was held under the chairmanship of Director General of Beriev Aircraft Company V.A. Kobzev and the Airborne Forces Commander Lieutenant General V.Е. Evtukhovich.
