Within the period from 7 February till 11 February, air base Yelahanka (Banaglor, India) hosted the Aero India 2007 aerospace show. This show has been conducted every two years since 1996.

This year, the participants included 500 companies from 40 countries including major military suppliers from the USA, Russia, UK, France and Israel. Russia was represented by 44 defence industry companies.

Beriev Aircraft Company participated jointly with IRKUT Corporation. The company provided information on its current and future projects including the Be-200 multipurpose amphibian aircraft, the Be-103 light multipurpose amphibian aircraft, and the Be-112 and Be-114 future projects.

The Be-200ChS (RF-21512) multipurpose amphibian aircraft was shown both on static display and in flight.

Before coming to Aero India 2007, the Be-200ChS demonstrated its capabilities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In the course of Aerobatic Show 2007 air show (Al-Ein), the aircraft was shown both on static display and in flight, with three water-drop demonstration flights performed. The aircraft also flew to Abu-Dhabi and showed its performance on water.

Interest to the fire-fighting and search-and-rescue configurations was expressed by the UAE Civil Defence authorities responsible for application of new processes and equipment.

The aircraft then stopped in Algeria to demonstrate fire-fighting and search-and-rescue capabilities before proceeding to Bangalor to participate in Aero India 2007.

The major interest of potential customers lied in the offshore search-and-rescue capabilities of the amphibian aircraft.

Besides, the Be-200ChS is capable of fighting the fires, evacuation of survivors from the areas in distress, delivery of rescue teams, transportation of cargo. In January, the Air Register of Interstate Aviation Committee issued to Beriev Aircraft Company a supplement to type certificate for the Be-200ChS amphibian aircraft, allowing the aircraft applications in passenger configuration. The Be-200ChS is a mass production aircraft being in service with the Russian Ministry of Emergencies.

The Be-200ChS amphibian aircraft was demonstrated as part of marketing efforts to promote the Be-200 aircraft worldwide. This revealed good prospects for amphibian's export to the countries located in the North Africa, near the Persian Gulf, and in Asia-Pacific region.

Beriev Aircraft Company also made a presentation of the forthcoming air show Gidroaviasalon-2008 that will be held from 4 till 7 September, 2008.
