On 31 January, 2007 the Air Register of Interstate Aviation Committee issued to Beriev Aircraft Company supplement № СТ229-Bе-200ChS/D-02 to type certificate for the Be-200ChS amphibian aircraft, allowing the aircraft applications in passenger configuration. When in passenger configuration, the Bе-200ChS can carry 43 passengers over medium range. The amphibian aircraft is fitted with entrance doors in the forward and aft parts of the hull, and the aircraft can operate both on land and water. In case of emergency, safety of the passengers is ensured by applying the onboard emergency equipment including inflatable slides, individual life vests and rescue rafts. The crew includes two pilots and a flight attendant. The cockpit, cabin and utility compartments are located in the pressure part of the hull. The forward part of the cabin is fitted with a galley rack. Thanks to the modern interior, comfortable seats, heating and ventilation systems, and low noise, the passenger cabin meets all effective requirements for passenger airliners. The Be-200ChS aircraft already possesses type certificate issued by the Air Register of Interstate Aviation Committee on 29 December, 2003. The Be-200ChS is a mass production aircraft being in service with the Russian Ministry of Emergencies.
