During the Sixth International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Hydroaviation "Gidroaviasalon-2006" Bå-200ES amphibious aircraft (RF-21512) performed four flights to set up new world records in classes Ñ-2 (hydroplanes, subclass Ñ-2j (take-off weight less than 45,000 kg)) and Ñ-3 (amphibians, subclass Ñ-3j (take-off weight less than 45,000 kg)). On the 6th of September, 2006 the aircraft set up a record in class Ñ-2 (hydroplanes - take-off and landing from/on water) - maximum speed in closed-circuit flight for 500 km (no cargo). Preliminary result - the aircraft achieved the speed of 650 km/h.
On the 7thj of September, 2006 the aircraft set up the following world records in class Ñ-2 (hydroplanes - take-off and landing from/on water). Maximum speed in closed-circuit flight for 1000 km without cargo and with the payload of 1,000 kg and 2,000 kg.
On the 9th of September, 2006 Bå-200ES aircraft (RF-21512) performed two record-setting flights with take-off and landing in the airport of Anapa and water take-off and landing, during which it achieved the following world record in class Ñ-3 (amphibians): Maximum speed in the closed-circuit flight for 500 km (no cargo).
Maximum speed in closed-circuit flight for 1000 km without cargo and with the payload of 1,000 kg and 2,000 kg.
Totally, 8 world records were set up during these four flights.
All the results achieved during record flights are preliminary and will be officially approved in three months (according to FAI regulations). Earlier 34 world records had been already set by Be-200 amphibious aircraft.
