During the 3-rd ecological conference "Interecology-2006" that was held from 17 April till 20 April, 2006 in Limasol (Cyprus), we presented our light multipurpose amphibian aircraft Be-103. The conference which was opened by the A. Nesterenko, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Cyprus, was devoted to ecological issues, namely organization of ecological monitoring using aircraft and spacecraft. Capabilities of the Russian amphibian aircraft raised interest of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment of Cyprus whose representatives attended the conference, and they are studying the possible application of the amphibian aircraft in the island. The Be-103 light amphibian aircraft can monitor the environment, check the water surface for pollutions, monitor the weather conditions and radiation situation (including taking the water or air specimen followed by a quick test), perform patrol (for example, monitor the pipelines). The Be-103 amphibian aircraft has been certified in compliance with AP-23 air regulations (Russia) and FAR-23 (USA), as well as airworthiness requirements of Brazil and China. Mass production of the aircraft is performed in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. A first batch of amphibians has been delivered to the customers in Russia and USA.
