Be-103

The Be-103 light amphibian is intended for following tasks:
  • cargo/passenger transportation;
  • rendering urgent medical aid;
  • patrol, fire protection monitoring, ecology monitoring of water areas;
  • tourist business.

The amphibious features of the Be-103 aircraft will provide its wide use in various regions possessing a lot of rivers, lakes, water reservoirs difficult for access by other types of transport.

The aircraft is fitted with flight/navigation and communication equipment enabling to fly in adverse weather conditions, in daytime and nighttime. Be-103 can accomodate five passengers, the aircraft cabin layout provides to passengers comfort during flight.

At customer's option, the aircraft can be fitted with autopilot, satellite navigation system, weather radar.

Any of aircraft variants can also be fitted with work station for copilot (instructor).

The Be-103 amphibious aircraft has been designed in compliance with airworthiness requirements of FAR-23.

In December 2001 the aircraft got type certificate of normal category of AP-23 standard(Russia).

On July 31, 2003 in the USA at the Experimental Aviation Exhibition "Air Venture 2003" the typecertificate of normal category according to FAR-23 American regulations for the Be-103 amphibious aircraft was handed to representatives of BERIEV Aircraft Company.

On December 21, 2001 the Be-103 amphibious aircraft obntained the type noise certificate
¹ ÑØ 126-Áå-103.

On December 26, 2001 the Be-103 obtained the type certificate
¹ ÑÒ204-Áå-103 according to AP-23 (Russian requirements).

On December 26, 2002 the supplement to type certificate
¹ ÑÒ204-Áå-103/Ä1 was obtained. It enlarges limits of working conditions on ground airdromes.

On July 11, 2003 at the Experimental Aviation Exhibition "Air Venture 2003", USA the type certificate ¹ A55ÑÅ according to FAR-23 American regulations for the Be-103 amphibious aircraft was handed to representatives of BERIEV Aircraft Company.

On October 24, 2003 the suppliment to type certificate was obtained
¹ ÑÒ204-Áå-103/Ä2. This one enlarges limits of working conditions: temperature of outer air on ground was increased to +35oC.

19th April 2004 the Be-103 amphibious aircraft got the addition to the Russian type certificate ¹ ÑÒ204-Áå-103/Ä3, which extended the operation conditions - outside ground temperature to -30oC.

17th November 2004 the Be-103 got the addition to the Russian type certificate ¹ ÑÒ204-Áå-103/Ä4, activating reverse propellers.

On the 3rd August 2005 the Brazilian certification authorities (CTA-IFI-CAvC/Civil Aviation Certification Division) issued the Type Certificate Validation for the Be-103 amphibious airplane, No. 2005T15.

On 22 December, 2005, the Civil Aviation Authorities of China (ÑÀÀÑ) issues the Type Certificate ¹ VTC173A for Be-103 amphibian aircraft.
